Our IATA software package for analyzing psychometric and educational assessment data. Our software is a seal of approval recognized worldwide.
Our IATA software greatly simplifies the business relationship between travel agents and airlines. IATA is considered to be one of the most basic resources for a travel agent because most airline bookings are done through the IATA portal.
It is a leading flight booking software Development Company, offers to develop online booking software by integrating single or multiple Flight APIs along with the GDS system for both IATA and Non-IATA agents.
In order to book from IATA, the travel agent must get registered with IATA as an IATA travel agent. The International Air Transport Association (IATA) is the trade association for the world's airlines, representing some 240 airlines or 84% of total air traffic.
IATA offers comprehensive training and professional development services for travel agents, and IATA accreditation is a very important seal of approval recognized worldwide.
The Main Functionality of Airline Module of IATA Software
The main purpose of IATA is to serve and support Aviation with global standards for airline safety, security, efficiency, and sustainability. IATA's aim is to represent, lead and serve the airline industry.
We have developed global commercial standards upon which the air transport industry is built. We assist airlines by simplifying processes and increasing passenger convenience while reducing costs and improving efficiency.
FlightsLogic is the global leader in providing on-demand, software-as-a-service solutions focused on improving the productivity, performance, and security of logistics-intensive businesses.
Customers use our modular, software-as-a-service solutions to route, schedule, track and measure delivery resources; plan, allocate and execute shipments; rate, audit and pay transportation invoices; access global trade data; file customs and security documents for imports and exports; and complete numerous other logistics processes by participating in the world's largest, collaborative multimodal logistics community.
IATA is a not for profit organization that offers airport operations management, cargo security and consulting services for the airline industry. IATA is the trade association for the world's airlines, representing some 265 airlines or 83% of total air traffic.
The association supports many areas of aviation activity and helps formulate industry policy on critical aviation issues.
In a global market where the aviation industry is increasingly focusing on revenue per customer instead of revenue per seat, FlightsLogic integrated IATA’s New Distribution Capability (NDC) to its existing portfolio of online distribution platforms which have already been in use for more than a decade.
This new addition will allow partner airlines to have maximum control over their booking processes by creating personalized offers and increasing ancillary revenues.
IATA accreditation greatly simplifies the business relationship between travel agents and airlines. Some 60,000 IATA travel agents worldwide currently benefit from IATA accreditation, selling US$220 billion worth of airline tickets with a unique identification number on behalf of some 260 IATA airline members.
IATA authorizes the sale of international and domestic tickets. BSP, IATA’s billing and settlement plan is an efficient way for payment and settlement. IATA agents sometimes have a special deal based upon the country’s (PCC code Pseudo city code).
Benefits of IATA Accreditation
Because IATA is a globally recognized seal of approval, it carries certain responsibilities. IATA travel agents must meet and maintain industry standards.
As a result, consumer awareness and confidence are heightened when the IATA logo and branding is displayed on-premises and websites. Without IATA accreditation, the travel or cargo agent cannot participate in most global airline transactions and ticketing.
IATA has launched a new platform that will give airlines greater visibility into one of the more significant yet unpredictable hazards. IATA is a software package for analyzing psychometric and educational assessment data.
It performs factor analysis, item response theory (IRT) scaling and calibration, differential item functioning (DIF) analysis, computer-aided test development, equating, IRT-based standard-setting, score conditioning, and plausible value generation.
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) is the trade association for the world’s airlines, representing some 240 airlines or 84% of total air traffic.
We support many areas of aviation activity and help formulate industry policy on critical aviation issues. Global travel industry recognition through an IATA Numeric Code that provides a unique identifier for the agent.
IATA authorizes the sale of international and domestic tickets. IATA accredits travel agents throughout the world. This certification includes the issuance of an ID-code, termed an IATA number.
IATA numbers are used as the travel agent identifier in reservations to allow suppliers, including hotels, to pay their commissions.
How does GDS Airline Reservation System work?
Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo, and Worldspan are the four major GDS networks being used by over 300K IATA agents and few non-IATA travel agents from all over the world.
A GDS system is a search-based system that allows users to look for travel products from the suppliers around the world and the system will return results with real-time pricing and availability comparisons.
GDS systems have evolved over time from processing flight bookings only to processing booking of hotels, and cars, etc. GDS systems form the base of online travel software.
Online travel agencies and customers worldwide use travel software integrated with GDS systems to book travel services they need. We offer travel agency software integrated with these travel inventory supplying GDSs allowing end-users to book flights from different LCCs and airline companies.
The Airline assigns ticketing authority to the Agent to allow the issue of ETs through the GDS system. GDS transactions are forwarded to a central BSP Data Processing Centre (DPC).
The DPC, in turn, processes all the transactions and refunds. The Agent makes just one net remittance covering all its BSP transactions for that period for all BSP Airlines. The BSP preferred method of payment is by direct debit.
Do you need an IATA number to be a travel agent?
IATA is considered to be one of the most basic resources for a travel agent because most airline bookings are done through the IATA portal.
However, it is also possible to buy and sell tickets without getting affiliated with IATA. All travel agents who do so are known as non-IATA / independent travel agents.
Our comprehensive solution for New Distribution Capability and ONE Order – supports all aspects of billing between the airlines and the other parties involved in an NDC/ONE Order.
Our customers are mainly online travel agencies, tour operators and business travel companies with an affinity for technology, who already rely on our years of experience with direct connections to airline systems of low-cost carriers and who are now also increasingly opting to book full-service carriers through their own NDC interfaces.
The focus of this decision is mainly on the competitive advantage through attractively priced offers, low distribution system costs and additional revenues from the sale of ancillaries.
Our objective is to provide a standardized interface that aggregates existing NDC interfaces, which equalizes differences between the format versions used by the respective airlines and which facilitates our customer's transition to NDC through a simplified implementation process.
With the integration of the New Distribution Capability (NDC) and ONE Order into its system solutions, ISO is giving you the benefit of the new IATA approach in a range of applications.
As a strategic partner of IATA, ISO is even a member of IATA committees, task forces, and working groups – thus helping to shape these future standards.
IATA Codes are an integral part of the travel industry and essential for the identification of an airline, its destinations, and its traffic documents. FlightsLogic is basically a solution that enables a travel agency to take care of its ticketing business without having to get affiliated to IATA.
IATA Code is a unique code for airport and city. Some cities have the same IATA code as their airports. We provide a variety of services to clients that include purchasing airline tickets, making hotel and resort reservations, creating itineraries for tour or travel packages and providing information about specific destinations.
We provide travel services include transportation arrangements, hotel and resort reservations, and specialized tour packages such as eco-tours or city-based tours. Our IATA certification gives you access to all the inventory of airlines that are members of IATA, with a single sales agency agreement through which you can sell domestic/international air tickets to your customers.
Our IATA Software opens for any business that is enrolled as a travel agency. That is depending upon the region and country of the travel agent; there is a set of minimum criteria that need to be fulfilled.
Our IATA software registration can show potential customers and vendors that the business is an accredited travel agency – thereby boosting revenue and providing credibility.
Access to IATA’s Billing and Settlement Plan (BSP), an efficient interface for invoicing and payment between the agent, airlines and transport providers.
In the future, the systems can thus receive, format and process the passengers’ booking requests in the new NDC format and send them to airlines – and their replies can then be processed and relayed to passengers.
All ISO customers will soon be able to offer end-customers individual flights and prices, which are possible exclusively through NDC. Use the new solutions by ISO to set yourself apart from other operators who are creating their flight offers the conventional way – and are thus severely restricted.
We add these new NDC possibilities not only to the reservation systems but to our CRM solution as well. Correspondingly, once customer profiles have been stored, they can be incorporated with the new NDC procedures and sent to airlines to get customized offers.
The communication between airline reservation systems and corporate and individual sales channels will become much more transparent, faster, personalized, detailed and flexible.
Airlines will be able to take this chance to sell and share various services and travel content which they couldn’t in their traditional sales channels.
By using NDC, airlines are getting rid of high costs, slow improvements, and the inability to provide special offers and services normally associated with GDS.
The main functionality of Airline module of IATA software
Inventory Management
An airline’s inventory contains all flights with their available seats. The inventory of an airline is generally divided into service classes (e.g. first, business or economy class) and up to 26 booking classes, for which different prices and booking conditions apply. Inventory data is imported and maintained through a schedule distribution system over standardized interfaces.
Availability display and reservation (PNR)
Travelers’ can check flight availability by the airline company and thus displays through inventory, city pairwise, seats and different booking classes.
If the city pair is not one on which the airline offers service it may display a connection using its own flights or display the flights of other airlines along with real-time last seat availability, PNR generation.
Fare quote and ticketing
Airline fares are calculated by the various parameters like fare tariffs, rule sets, routing maps, class of service tables, and some tax information that construct the price.
Rules like booking conditions (e.g. minimum stay, advance purchase, etc.) are tailored differently between different city pairs or zones and assigned a class of service corresponding to its appropriate inventory bucket.
Inventory control can also be manipulated manually through the availability feeds, dynamically controlling how many seats are offered for a particular price by opening and closing particular classes.
Finally, the systems like SITA / ATPCO who distributes the fare tariffs and rule sets to all GDSs and other subscribers with different revenue managers.
